No stunt double required! Selma Blair is a hands on mum as she takes Arthur on the slide

It seems Selma Blair does all her own stunts - at least in the playground.

The actress had an afternoon of fun with her 19-month-old son Arthur at a park in Los Angeles on Wednesday.

The mother-son duo were the picture of delight as they streaked down a jungle gym slide at top speeds, landing in a pile of sand at the bottom.

The 40-year old actress appeared even more excited than her son and was positively beaming as she carried the youngster around the playground.

Selma was dressed in casual attire for the day of fun and games.

Adorning her petite feet were a pair of strappy sandals, which brought attention to her smooth well-toned legs.

Keeping cool in the Los Angeles desert temperatures, the Anger Management star wore black shorts and a delicate illustrated white shirt.

Selma accessorized with a minimalistic silver watch and thin gold chain on her neck.

Maintaining a bit of privacy for her highly recognizable face, she wore large chunky sunglasses in the brilliant afternoon sunshine.

Her little tot was even more dressed down in a stripy blue and white sailor shirt and white shorts.

But it's not all fun and games for busy Selma.

The actress has a hit FX comedy, Anger Management, that has been picked up for a second season and promises to keep her busy with a full shooting schedule.
